Bike Fyne Event at Loch Fyne Oysters
On Sunday the 5th of June the West Safety Camera Unit attended the Bike Fyne road safety event held at Loch Fyne Oysters in Cairndow. The event was held to highlight the high number of accidents involving motorcyclists on the A83.
Various local organisations attended including: MotoScotland, Argyle and Bute Council, Institute of Advanced Motorists, First Aid Scotland, Bear Scotland, British Horse Society and Biker Down. The sun was shining and lots of bikers stopped by to say hello and see onboard the camera van and have a demonstration of our cameras. A few definitely found it worth noting that our vans can capture rear facing number plates so speeding motorcyclists can be detected just as easily as cars.
Overall it was a fantastic event and it was great to see so many people who were keen to learn more about road safety and improve their biking skills.
