Average speed cameras commence enforcement on A9 Roadworks

16/09/2026

Average speed cameras are now enforcing on the A9 at Tay Crossing to Ballinluig roadworks, near Dalguise.

At the request of Transport Scotland and Wills Bros. these cameras have been positioned to enforce within the 40mph roadworks.

Eric Dunion, Area Manager of Police Scotland’s North Safety Camera Unit says; "Reduced speed limits are in place for the safety of all road users and for those working on A9 dualling project.  These temporary average speed cameras will enforce 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

I would encourage all motorists travelling this route to be aware of the speed limits at all times."
