Police Scotland Safety Cameras aim is to reduce the number of people injured on our roads through targeted camera enforcement and improving driver behaviour.
Michael Grant, East Safety Camera Unit Manager said “The Safety Camera Programme Route Strategy enables the East Safety Camera Unit to respond quickly to emerging road safety concerns by adding new camera locations to existing routes.
“Travelling above the speed limit not only increases the risk of a collision but also the likelihood of severe injuries if a collision occurs. Drivers should be aware that there have been a number of collisions in recent weeks, and the safety camera van should be a reminder of the importance of travelling within the speed limit for the safety of all road users.”
